Local Pizza

Located in the historic Teton Theater, Hand Fire Pizza brings new life to old town Jackson Hole with a wild west feel. We focus on the most delicious pizza we can make, offering salads, desserts and specialities made fresh every day with organic and locally sourced ingredients where possible.

THE HISTORIC TETON THEATER

The Teton Theatre opened in 1941 as a 300-seat single screen theater and operated for the next 71 years. Hand Fire Pizza and the property owner shared the collective vision of reintroducing a venue for the community to come together and share in a true dining experience.

To wit, Brass is intent on retaining elements of the old theater he hopes the community cherishes as much as he does. The marquee will stay. So will the ticket booth.

SAVING A RELIC

"It would have been better to tear it down ... easier and cheaper."

The building housing the Teton Theater sat unused since its Sept 2012 last showing. Built with stone from a defunct quarry in Idaho, the Teton Theater sitting just off the town square has been a Jackson Hole icon for 75 years. Hand Fire Pizza and the building’s owner wanted to preserve its structure and revive its prominence. Even though demolishing the building would have been cheaper to conform to modern building codes, the entire structure was gutted and custom-built to our specifications. We restored the original marquee, returned the ticket booth to its original location, kept the signature artwork on the walls from opening and exposed the trusses among many other things. We’re very proud of what we have accomplished and hope you enjoy your visit.
